“From Oviedo cathedral to the Sidrón cave”.
Besides this, just 15 minutes away in Infiesto, there is a place where time means everything. The Museo del Reloj (clock museum), also known as the House of Time, where visitors can travel through the history of clock making taking in a collection of 100 clocks and 500 timekeeping devices from different ages and countries.
In the same building is an exhibition titled “Los 13 del Sidrón“, which shows us all the findings from the Sidrón cave and its Neanderthal inhabitants. Also housed here is the visitors’ centre Piloña Tierra de Asturcones (Piloña, Land of Wild Horses).
ORDUM was born just a stone’s throw away from the cathedral of Oviedo, a historic site in the capital of the province of Asturias. Now it will be produced in a different, but also privileged site. Surrounded by nature and the plants and animals so typical of the Asturian countryside, in the district of Piloña, not far from the famous Sidrón cave. This is the largest non-carboniferous limestone cave in the region, with prehistoric remains and cave paintings. Numerous remains of Neanderthal man have been found here, making it the most important prehistoric site in Asturias.
